Q. The cake I have in mind is not available on your website?
Can you assist me in designing it?
A. Of course we can! We can design a unique, individual cake of your dreams incorporating your color scheme, ideas and other design requirements.

Q. I like one of your designs. Is it possible to vary the shape and color?
A. Absolutely. We can vary the shape or color as you wish. We will need to work together to create the perfect cake for you. The best way to do it is via email – sales@houseofcakesdubai.com

Q. How long in advance should I order my cake?
A. Normally 2 - 3 days is a typical lead time. This time may vary during busy periods, especially during Dubai's winter – Sep - June. Short notice events can usually be accommodated depending on position availability. For your piece of mind we advise to book in early.
Q. Can I make a design appointment?
A. We are a mainly an online business, but design appointments are available as well. If the decorator is not there at the moment you may discuss the cake with one of our staff and we will contact you back with details about your cake
However, our master designer will be more than happy to assist you in a very accurate and time efficient manner via email. You can send her photos of any other cakes including your color samples, copy of your invite... etc. Please send the email to – sales@houseofcakesdubai.com
Q. On a multi-tiered cake can each tier have a different flavor? - Absolutely - you can have different flavors in each tier.

Q. I would like to keep the figurines and flowers from my cake.
Which would be the best way to preserve them?
A. The best way is to place them in a airtight container with anti-moisture crystals to protect it from dust and moisture. They will preserve their appearance for many years.
Q. Would I need coffee or dessert size portions?
A. If you are planning to serve your cake in conjunction with other desserts, you will need coffee size portions. Otherwise, you will need dessert size portions for serving your cake as your main dessert.
The approximate dimensions of a dessert size portion is 3 x 8 cm.
Q. Can I pick up my cake?
A. Yes you can pick up your cake from one of our locations – International City, China Cluster, D-04, Shop - 01
Please consider that specialty cakes are heavy, perishable and according to their design, need extra care while been delivered. They can be easily damaged if not delivered properly.
Q. Which areas do you deliver?
A. We deliver everywhere in UAE - Dubai (45 Dhs), Sharjah(85 Dhs), Ajman(85 Dhs) and Abu Dhabi(85Dhs), Al Ain(85Dhs), Fujairah, UAQ and RAK - 185 dirhams plus vat.
We deliver 7 days a week, from 9 am to 9 pm.
Q. We have guests that are allergic to nuts. Do your cakes come in nut free?
A. Most of our cakes are nuts free unless specifically ordered with nuts. Only carrot cake has nuts in it.
